Uber has a number of promotional offers to help passengers enjoy more rides and earn more money. One is the promo code, which can be redeemed for free rides on some days or weeks as well as an increase in tip amount if a passenger chooses to do so. Another promotion that users have access to is the ‘first ride credit.’

Uber’s referral program allows drivers to earn money when they refer new riders, which increases their own earnings. Drivers must maintain their rating over time and update it at least once per week on average for more than three years before being eligible for bonuses or promotions like free credits or gift cards after that.
Once drivers have completed 20 rides within six months, they can request a referral bonus of up to $500 for referring new riders and receive other incentives in the form of gift cards or free credits after that depending on their position within the company’s rating system. Most users will earn between 4% and 6% of each fare as a tip, but drivers can earn more if they have done well enough to reach the bonus level.
